Hajj Flight 2018

More than 2.5 million Muslims arrive to the Holy Place of Makkah to perform Hajj (Islamic pilgrimage). Almost 40% of this number arrives by air to Jeddah (JED/OEJN) and Madinah (MED/OEMA) in a very short period of time. The flag-carrier Garuda Indonesia is ready to serve Indonesian pilgrims 1839H / 2018. This year, Garuda will fly 107,959 pilgrims.

Garuda Indonesia has prepared 14 wide body aircraft or wide body for 2018 haj operational. The fourteen aircraft are 10 aircraft belonging to Garuda Indonesia consisting of 5 Boeing 777-300ER, 5 Airbus A330-300 and 4 leased aircraft consisting of 3 Boeing 747-400 and 1 aircraft Airbus A330-300.

Again, NVirtual has created the special hajj flight as real as possible. Pilots can do the flight virtually using smartCARS. The flight can be booked in the Hajj Flight 2018 schedules page.

Collaboration Event: Fly-in Mauritius

Mauritius or Maurice, as it is called in French, is a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. It is located to the east of Madagascar Island, near South Africa. Discovered in early 1500 by Portuguese explorers, and later ruled by the French and lastly by the British, Mauritius became independent in 1968 and a republic in 1992. The capital of this island country is Port Louis. The country is a small one but a top and favorite destination among travelers. its a source of unparalleled beauty that is rare and can only be found in very few places in the world.

To support the "Indian Ocean Connections" IVAO user event which will be held in East Africa region, NVirtual alongside with fellow Indonesian virtual airlines (RGV, IDV, JEZ, and AAV) initiated a group flight to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International airport (MRU/FIMP) in Mauritius from Medan.

In coordination with IVAO Thailand, Indonesia, Oceanic Divisions as well as the Headquarters, we are proud to bring out "Full Control Asia and Oceanic", where we will present the members of IVAO a wide range of online FIRs, ranging from Japan to Melbourne, from Thailand to Fiji.

NVirtual supports this event by initiating a group flight event out of Changi airport in Singapore (WSSS) to Ngurah Rai airport in Denpasar-Bali (WADD). You will get the Mount Agung award after completing the group flight and Full Control award after you've done a flight within the Full Control Asia and Oceani event.

Dangerous Approach

An approaching skill is one of pilot needs. In this event, we challenge you to make a good approach and land safely in one of the most challenging airport to land in Indonesia. Therefore, we chose Husein Sastranegara airport in Bandung as the destination as it located at mountainous area and does not have an ILS approach.

We pleased to announce “Dangerous Approach” group flight event:

Time: Saturday, 4 March 2017 starting from 12.30 UTC
Departure: Hang Nadim airport in Batam (ICAO: WIDD)
Destination: Husein Sastranegara airport in Bandung (ICAO: WICC)

The participants are allowed to use all suitable fleets and all airlines in NVirtual to fly. A special award will be given to a pilot who finished the flight (arrived at Husein Sastranegara airport, Bandung) with a valid Pilot Report using the approved ACARS program.

When participating in this event and to get the special award, the participant must:

Be a NVirtual active pilot
Following the Rules & Regulations of NVirtual

“PK-GSG” is a registration code of Boeing 747-400 aircraft that belongs to Garuda Indonesia in April 1994. It is jumbo-sized and can handle more than 400 passengers in a flight. Its duty time is reaching 22 years and it makes PK-GSG as one of Garuda’s legendary aircraft.

We inspired to create an event with the details as follows:

Title: Last Flight with PK-GSG
Time: Sunday, 19 February 2016 starting at 12.30 UTC
Departure: Sultan Hasanuddin International airport in Makassar (WAAA)
Destination: Soekarno-Hatta Internasional airport in Tangerang (WIII)

The participants are allowed to use all of the Garuda Indonesia fleets (including historical fleet) to fly. But, we suggests you to use Boeing 747-400 aircraft type. A special award will be given to a pilot who finished the flight (arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International airport, Tangerang) with a valid Pilot Report using the approved ACARS program.
